Do you Believe in Magic?

My first encounters with the world of spirituality began in my early twenties. I turned to yoga to manage and cope with anxiety and stress, inner darkness and life’s changes and challenges.

I began to notice after some dedicated yoga practice something beyond what I was used to in my normal waking life. There was a presence and energy beyond what I had ever felt before. Closer than I have ever been with myself or with Source, I thought to myself “Woah there is something much bigger here!”

As I meditated during my yoga practice, I started to tap into my own authentic energy, beyond thought and form. That day a passion and curiosity was lit within me to explore more about this feeling and newfound connection.  

I then began reading spiritual and self-help books, feeling empowered and hopeful of a fresh start I continued practicing yoga while painting a new, brighter life for myself.

This new-found spark and devotion awakened my awareness further and laid the groundwork necessary for future growth.  Yoga opened the first doorway to spirituality for me and helped me to experience what it truly felt like to be present and alive; that indescribable space of peace, pure-awareness and love.

This practice helped me tremendously in my day-to-day life to deal with anxiety, stress and sadness and gave me the tools I needed to help myself. I was then quickly catapulted into my first spiritual awakening and also into the empowered world of self-help and self-love. 

Energy Healing and Beyond

Fate would have it that one day I received my first Reiki energy healing session during a mediation and yoga retreat in beautiful Costa Rica. My good friend and mentor had unknowingly opened up a whole new world for me that day. This experience validated every spiritual connection I had previously experienced.

I remember the energy of that first Reiki session being so loving and strong that I completely let go and fell fully into the Reiki’s warm embrace. During the treatment, I began seeing beautiful meditative visions and also my friend channelling Reiki as her Higher Self expression. When I sat up after the treatment I remember feeling totally weightless, and with my eyes closed, I felt myself rise up like a balloon off the massage table towards the canopy of treetops above us.

It was one of the most beautiful experiences and feelings of my life to this day. looking back I realize this was spirit’s way of encouraging me to continue on my spiritual journey, while also letting me know that the spiritual experiences I’ve had up to that point were all very real.

After returning home from my trip I was so excited about the deeper love I had found for yoga along with having discovered Reiki that I began having regular Reiki sessions. During this time I also started deepening my understanding of Reiki, yoga and other spiritual avenues.

One day, my morning meditation guided me to call my friend for a Reiki treatment. After telling me that she was all booked up she referred me to her personal Reiki Master. Later that week I met with her Reiki Master and she lovingly told me beautiful things about myself and what she saw for my future. She told me things that were so far out of my awareness at the time but have become true for me over the years that followed.

I began learning and practicing Reiki with her and from that point on the blessings and healing in my life started to manifest more quickly. My inner guidance grew stronger and my life purpose became more apparent as Reiki started to become a bigger part of my life and future dreams.
